Adam Laing Gordon passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 55 years old. He was born April 26, 1966 in Orange County (Chapel Hill), North Carolina, and his blood ran Tarheel blue all of his life. Adam was the eldest son of the late Alan B and Nancy Kate Gordon.
Adam was a life long entrepreneur and giver to many. His most recent business involvement was with the Famous Toastery restaurant group, where he was CFO and part owner in several locations. He loved hopping in the car wth his wife, Paula, and taking off on impromptu road trips to the mountains or the beach.
Adam is survived by and is greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Paula; five wonderful sons, Ethan, Benjamin, Nicholas, Simon and Jonathan; his siblings Kerry Allabastro (his twin), Dawn Barnes and Sean Gordon; his sister-in-law Tracey Poteat; and by his mother-in-law Betty Poteat, who treasured him like he was her own. He is also survived by many special cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
There will be a memorial service for family and friends on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Resurrection Church, 2940 Commonwealth Avenue, Charlotte, NC. Visitation will be held at the church at 2 pm.
