Anna Manning Taylor, 72, of Indian Trail, owner and operator of Anna's Flowers and Gifts, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 22, 2012. Anna was born in Pitt County, NC, but she and her husband of 55 years, Louis H. Taylor, Sr., made their home in Indian Trail many years ago. Through her business, she met and made many friends throughout Union and Mecklenburg counties and developed a personal and undisclosed ministry over the years of helping those in need, whether with donated floral arrangements, cooking and taking food to the less fortunate, or even helping financially whenever she and Louis were made aware of special concerns in the community. Though many times direct in personality, Anna's character, that is, "her thoughts and deeds in private", reflected an individual who was always putting the necessities and interests of others first. A loving and devoted wife and mother, she most, notably, strived daily to be pleasing to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Anna's immediate family, in addition to her husband, Louis, includes their children; Louis H. Taylor, Jr., and Wanda Taylor Ritchie and her friend, Doug Sigmon; a grandson, Jacob L. Taylor and his wife, Stephanie; and her sister, Carolyn Manning Taylor. -
