The life of Ashley Lyday was prematurely cut short on Monday, September 2, 2019. Ashley was the beloved daughter of Kanako and the late John Brevard Lyday and adoring sister of Elysia Mei Lyday. Ashley was the granddaughter of Dr. William Davie Lyday and Mrs. Deborah Le Baron Lyday. She was also the granddaughter of the late Mr. Hisanaga Asai and Mrs. Yukie Asai.
Ashley was born on May 7, 2002 in Berkeley, California. Her family lived in Chiba Prefecture, Japan between 2004 and 2012 where Ashley blossomed into an adorable, energetic girl. In 2012, the family decided to relocate to Charlotte, NC. Ashley and her sister acclimated quickly; they enjoyed school and made many friends. Ashley loved music, art, skateboarding and hanging out with her many friends. Ashley will be remembered and missed.
Ashley had many positive qualities - she was a good and faithful friend, and always put others ahead of herself. Ashley brought smiles to the faces around her. She was honest to a fault and bold in her convictions.
A celebration of Ashley's life will be held at Carmel Baptist Church on Friday September 13, at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, contributions may be sent to : https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-memory-of-ashley-lyday-help-struggling-teens
