Barbara Ann

Barbara Ann Kissiah of Charlotte, NC, passed away in her home on August 5, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born in 1932 to James Monroe and Janette Duncan Kissiah, and was the 8th of 9 children in a loving and dynamic family. Ann was a compassionate, vibrant and independent woman whose strength, gentleness, humor and encouragement throughout her life inspired all who knew her. Her immediate family includes her daughter, Lisa Carriker of Charlotte, sons Bo Carriker and family Donna and Allie of Round Lake Beach, IL and Scott Carriker of Punta Gorda, FL, brother Robert Kissiah of Charlotte, sister Nancy Wanamaker of Gibsonville, NC, many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, 3 very spoiled four-legged "grandchildren", as well as a number of "adopted" family members she has guided and mentored throughout the years.
