Barbara Ann Garcia

Our precious Mother, Wife, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and dear friend, Barbara Ann Garcia went to be with our Lord, Monday October 1, 2018 Barbara was born December 12, 1938 in Brooklyn NY and was the daughter of the late William Seymour and Frances Farrish Seymour. She was married to Joseph Martin Garcia and moved to Brentwood Long Island where they raised their 4 children, Donna, Gary, Julie and Rosemary, moving to Fort Mill SC in 2005, where they lived until December 2017, and finally settled in Waxhaw NC. She is survived by her loving family ; Husband of 61 years , Joseph Garcia , Daughters; Donna Seaman, Julie Ferraro and Rosemary Van Stocken and Son Gary Garcia; Sister Dianne Dunn, 9 Grandchildren; Melissa Ferguson, Amanda Bailey, Eric Garcia, Joey Garcia, Gabrielle Garcia, Caleb Ferraro, Mackenzie Ferraro, Tj Van Stocken, Sydney Van Stocken and 6 great grandchildren; Lauren Ferguson, Harper Bailey, Kayleigh Buchmaier, Josie Bailey, Lilly Bailey and Luke Buchmaier as well as many nieces and nephews she treated as if they were her very own. Barbara had a long and very blessed life filled with much love and happiness. Family was always of utmost importance to her. Through the years, Barbara always made sure to have lots and lots of family "get togethers" which were very loud and always broke out in to long periods of extreme belly laughing! She had a larger than life personality which was very evident to anyone who met her. Barbara accepted the Lord later in life and she loved to share her faith with anyone who would listen. And even if they didn't want to listen ☺ . She loved her church at Central Church of God and loved to serve and be a part of the prime timers where she made quite a statement. So much can be said about her, but there just are not enough words to describe the special person she was. We are so grateful to know she is in the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ and we look forward to worship the Lord again with her one day.
