Bernice D. Rowell

Bernice Rowell of Indian Trail, NC passed away on December 20, 2014. Born in Detroit, Michigan on June 25, 1925, she was the daughter of Harold H. (Pappy) Day and Alice C. Day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband C. Wayne Rowell. She worked as a bookkeeper and office manager with her dad at Quality Chevrolet in Monroe, NC and later retired from City Chevrolet in Charlotte, NC. From her calling friends and family on their birthday to sing "Happy Birthday" to her cards, letters, and practical jokes, she was always ready to put a smile on someone's face. Her warm heart and big smile will be missed by all. She is survived by her three children Barbara R. Wood and husband David of Monroe, NC; Bill Rowell and wife Kim of Fayetteville, AR; and Douglas Rowell and wife Kathlyn of Indian Trail, NC; four grandchildren, Shauna Serdinsky, Randall Wood, Victoria Rowell, and Ali Rowell; and two great grandchildren. - -
