Bessie Lee Corley, 82, of Charlotte, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, late Wednesday morning, January 19, 2011. She was surrounded at her passing by her loving and devoted children; her daughter, Sharon Morgan, of the home, and her son, Ben Johnson of Florence, South Carolina. Mrs. Corley's career background included her activity as a licensed cosmetologist and a Licensed Practical Nurse for forty years. She was a proud member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Charlotte. Additional family members include her sister, Wilodean Dreher of Columbia, South Carolina, and her brother, Raymond Brown of W. Columbia, South Carolina. When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, And hug your sorrow to you through the years... But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer- And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near. And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky. - Helen Stiener Rice -
