Betty Jones Holmes

Betty Holmes, 80, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord Monday morning, October 25, 2010. She was born and raised in Charlotte, graduating from Central High School in 1947. In 1954, she married the late Joe W. Holmes and they were husband and wife for 51 years. Betty was employed for many years as a secretary, but later in life she assisted her husband in their business, "Quality Watch Repair". She was very involved with Women's Aglow Ministries for many years and was a devoted member of numerous Bible Study groups in her church. Betty and her late husband, Joe, were charter members of Central Church of God. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and very proud "Granny". Betty's immediate family includes her daughter, Laurena Phillips, and her husband, Terry; two granddaughters, Anita Millsaps, and her husband, Bryan, and Christy Dial, all of Indian Trail; six grandchildren, Kaylan, Joey, Austin, Madison, Trevor, and Evan.
