Bob Stratton

Robert Franklin (Bob) Stratton, 75, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, November 2, 2013. Bob was born in Lawrenceburg, KY, the son of Eugene and Mattie Stratton. He attended Presbyterian College on a basketball scholarship, graduating in 1960. Bob was employed with the Federal Reserve Bank, Charlotte Branch, retiring after 32 years as a Vice President. He was an active member of Central Church, teaching financial courses, performing benevolence work, and serving in the Kitchen Ministry. He was also an active member of the Charlotte Sportsman's Club. Bob, for 52 years, was the beloved husband of Sharon Belk Stratton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Ashley Powell (husband, Craig) and Shelby Melton (husband, Tim); grandchildren, Alec and Robert Powell, and Stratton, Bennett, Mattie, Lydia, and Stella Melton. The family offers special thanks to Dr. Lori Taylor, Dr. Jodi Dodds, and the Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital.
