Bob M Poole, 84, of Fort Mill, SC, went to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 22, 2022. Bob was born in Salisbury, NC, to Alma and Gideon Poole. He leaves behind his wife, Hilda and children, Lori and Joel Turpin, Scott and Melanie Poole, Amy Poole, and four grandchildren, Alex, Caitlin, and Zachary Turpin, and Gavin Poole. Bob is also survived by his sister, Brenda Jean Poole Lamb.
Bob served his country in the Navy where he came to know Jesus. Throughout his lifetime, Bob always exhibited an entrepreneurial spirit buying and reselling about anything in his early years, to owning a software company, Shared Data Systems, Inc., a restaurant, Black Oak Grill, and being industrious as a jack-of-all –trades handyman/remodeler for loved ones, friends, and others. However, Bob most treasured his time well spent as a Chaplin for Ecclesia Construction Co. in Rock Hill, SC and his privilege as Overseeing Elder Emeritus at Steele Creek Church of Charlotte.
Bob loved to serve! He was such a “large” presence in the lives of those around him; his family, friends, coworkers and everyone who knew him. He was a great example of Jesus’ love. His legacy of “love” will live on through his family and the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime. Bob believed and lived 1 Corinthians 13:8, “Love never fails” and he had a special way of letting people know how much he cared and loved them by making sure that his goodbye greeting always included “I Love You, Jesus loves you, and there is nothing you can do about it."
