Brenda Jo Cundiff

Brenda Jo Mahood Cundiff, 71 of Concord, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 28, 2015 at home surrounded by her family after an extended illness. She was born December 9, 1943 in Petersburg, VA to the late Joseph and Dorothy Mahood. Brenda graduated from Graham High School in 1961 in Bluefield, VA. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother (Gran). After retiring from Carolina Retina & Vitreous consultants as an office manager, Mom enjoyed her being a full-time Grandmother. She was a devoted Carolina Panthers and Carolina Tar Heel fan. Even in her final weeks you would find her tuned into one of their games. Brenda served her Lord and Savior faithfully. She raised her three daughters in the church and set an example to them of faith and service by serving in Church on Session as an Elder, Sunday School teacher, singing in the choir, and as a Youth Leader. She leaves a strong legacy of faith and love to her family. She is survived by her three daughters, Cathy & (Dennis) Williams of Indian Trail, NC: Beth & (Barry) Alexander of Concord, NC; and Kim & (Dan) Jordan of Oak Harbor, WA.; Grandsons Boyce Alexander of Concord, NC and Max Jordan of Oak Harbor, WA. Sisters, Anna & (Tom) Murphy of Dalton, GA; Phyllis & (Bill) Baker of Bluefield, WV; and Karen & (Michael) of Little River, SC; and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Michaelle Elliott and Novant Hospice for their help and loving care over the past months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation in Brenda Cundfif's name. -
