Bruce Clyde Shoe, born on November 14, 1962; beloved father, brother, uncle and friend went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2018. He was a devoted father and loving man. With a Criminal Justice degree, he served in law enforcement for 23 years at the Burlington Police Department before moving to Charlotte for a Freight Logistics career. Bruce's leisure passions were westerns, guns, knives, movies with his son, and animals. He was mostly quiet; yet he had a simple, easy-going, kind-hearted nature that marked the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. He had a trademark of comfort and gentle spirit about him that will be greatly missed. Bruce is survived by his son, Bonner Christian Shoe (age 16), two sisters, Gail Shoe Smith and Donna Shoe Doyle, 7 nieces/nephews, 9 great nieces/nephews and other extended family who loved to spend time with him. The last years of Bruce's life were proudly dedicated to the treasured relationship with his son. Bonner's mother (Mandi) wishes to express that Bruce's life touched and blessed her family beyond measure. God touched their lives by Bruce and the son he gave them; a mirror-image of Bruce that will be cherished as his legacy and the precious man he was. Bruce was preceded by his parents, Clyde Herbert Shoe and Mildred McMillan Shoe. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 5th at 12:00 pm at Central Church of God, 5301 Sardis Rd., Charlotte, NC 28270. -
