Charlotte Allen "Charlee" Hoshour
December 9, 1967 — December 14, 2018
Charlotte Allen Hoshour, age 51, passed from this life on the 14th of December ending a courageous 30-year fight against cancer. ‘Charlee', as she was known to her family and friends, is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Christopher Hoshour of Matthews, NC, her mother Ann Alden Allen of Mattapoisett MA, her sister Leslie Ann Allen of New Bern, NC and many beloved Hoshour extended family members.
Charlee was born December 9, 1967 to Robert L. Allen, now deceased, and Ann A. Allen. A graduate of the University of South Carolina and Midlands Technical College, Charlee was a longtime employee of Novant Health, working most recently at their Presbyterian Medical Center location, as a Laboratory Technician.
Born in Miami, FL and having grown up in FL, NC, PR, GA and SC, she delighted in tropical atmospheres and blasting Jimmy Buffett from the car stereo. After meeting and marrying Chris, her soulmate, her story began anew as they embraced life and love together as husband and wife. Home was important to Charlee and as their life together unfolded, she meticulously and tastefully decorated each room with the many treasures collected during their travels. Charlee's artistic and culinary skills were admired and savored by all who knew her. And she took great delight in Christmas! The cheerful look of light-adorned trees and merchants displays, the fresh-baked smell of cookies, and most of all gift-giving buoyed her spirits and fueled her contagious, happy demeanor.
Without a doubt, her most impressive attribute was her amazing positive attitude in the face of adversity which reflected her incredible inner strength. Her sweet nature and genuine smile, which could light up a room, will be sorely missed.
