Clinton Burwell (Clint) Strother, III, 65, of Matthews, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, while in the care of the staff at the W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Clinton Burwell Strother, Jr. and Martha Brooks Strother. During the war in Vietnam, he served his country in the United States Army. He was a funny, gentle, kind, loving husband and father, and proud "Pop". Clint's immediate family includes his wife, June; his children, Cami, Jamie, and Melinda; his brother, Stacey Kirby, and his wife, Robin; eleven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
