David P. Cully, born November 24, 1954, passed away on February 24, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Peggy (Temple) Cully; his loving children,Heather Reyes (Ray) and Greg Cully (Krystal);his adoring grandchildren, Addisyn Ball, Ray Reyes,Haley Reyes and Aubree Cully;his Ohio siblings, Susan Rawson (Michael), James Cully (Susanne) and Thomas Cully (Barbara); and was blessed to have been loved by six nieces and nephews. Dave was born in Toledo, Ohio and moved to the Charlotte area in 1990, to further pursue the American Dream. As an entrepreneur, he founded several companies and invented a market that brought together graphic design,marketing and packaging for point of purchase displays. He enjoyed solving customer problems with unique solutions and provided growth opportunities for his employees. From his youthful days as a DJ, rock and roll was an ever increasing part of his interests and his extensive music collection. He found beauty and delight in most outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and fireworks while also remaining a lifelong Michigan Wolverines fan. While aware of his own limitations, he experienced the closeness of God in the constant love and daily hugs from his family and close friends.
