David Whittington

H. David Whittington, 74, of York, South Carolina, formerly of Charlotte, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday morning, May 6, 2011. David was a remarkable person. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to help those in need. David had a real love for music and his passion was his saxophone. After attending Appalachian State University in the early 1960's he played with many bands; two of which were The Fabulous Loafers and The Sabres. David is preceded in death by his wife, Jean, of 47 years. His immediate family include his children, David Whittington , Dennis Whittington, and his wife, Kim, and Jennifer.Freeman; his precious grandchildren, Michelle, Dallas, Alec, Diana, and Alexis; his sister Lucy and her husband Bob Atwater.
