Dian Barlow Duncan

Dian Barlow Duncan, 76 of Charlotte, NC went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2020.  Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Dian was born in Kannapolis, NC and graduated from A.L. Brown High School. She worked in the insurance field, retiring from Amerisure as a supervisor. Dian loved Alabama Football (Roll Tide!), old country music, shagging, barbecue sandwiches from Cookout, a Mountain Dew, scrap booking, reading, drinking her morning coffee on the front porch, but her greatest joy was her family. She was what brought the family together. She was their biggest fan, whether it was helping with schoolwork or at a ball game or a dance recital she was always there. She helped mold her grandchildren into the individuals that they have become today and they will strive to keep her legacy strong.  She was all of grandchildren’s friends Maw Maw. She had the sweetest soul and a heart of gold and would have gone to the ends of the Earth for the ones she loved. She always made sure everyone was ok no matter what it was. When she walked in a room her positive energy and sweet Southern voice could brighten the room. She had a welcoming smile and a contagious laugh. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her son, Brian (Wendy) Harkey, Her special daughter, Patricia(David) Wallace.  Her grandchildren, Austin, Ryan and Alyssa Harkey and Mollie and Nicholas Fuller, and one great grandchild, Aiden Harkey
