Dollene Rape

Dollene Loftis Rape, 75, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord Thursday evening, May 24, 2012. Born June 19, 1936 in Greer, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Alva Loftis and Wille Mae "Billie" Wood Loftis Grant. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Myers Rape, Sr.; her step-father, Reuben Pressley "Preston" Grant; and parents-in-law, Luther Johnson Rape and Elizabeth Lillie Gunnell Rape. Dollene had resided in Charlotte since 1942, and was presently a member of Central Church of God and former longtime member of Garr Memorial Church in Charlotte. Dollene was a Godly woman, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She never met a stranger and brighten the lives of all she was around. Her love, laughter, smile, and hugs will be greatly missed. Her immediate family includes her children, Evelyn Justice, Billy Myers and his wife, Patty, Mark Luther Rape, and Cory Martin Rape and his wife, Suzanne; six grandchildren, Julia Lauren Powell, Annie Lynn Achor, Jewels Brittany Lawrence, Denver Bryton Lawrence, Arlyn-Marie Rape, Monica Elizabeth Rape; three great-grandchildren; Siblings: Glenda Loftis Watts of Charlotte, William Thomas Loftis and wife, Nadine of Denver, NC, Gayle Grant Henderson of Mooresville, NC, Patricia Grant Cranford and husband, Kenny of Bakersville, NC, Pamela Grant Phillips and husband, Avery, of Harrisburg, NC; sister-in-law, Evelyn Rape Howell of Pleasant Grove, AL; a number of nieces, nephews and their families.
