Donald Roy Salhoff

MATTHEWS – Mr. Donald Roy Salhoff, 92, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Don was born March 6, 1929 in Toledo, OH and was the son of the late Roy and Isabel Bretz Salhoff. For most of his career, he was a customer service engineer, having been associated with the Johnson Controls and Owens-Illinois companies. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, crossword puzzles, reading and listening to music. He was a member of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church and a Korean War Veteran, having served in the United States Army.

Don is survived by his wife, Mattie Ruth; daughters, Deborah Berry and husband, Grant of Boone, NC and Karen Pyle and husband, Randy of Virginia Beach, VA; and by his four grandchildren, Aidan Berry, Mackenna Berry, Ashton Pyle and Kendra Pyle.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 8600 Potter Road, Weddington, NC 28104.
