Elizabeth Bailey McNeill

Elizabeth (Beth) Bailey McNeill, 60, of Indian Trail, NC died Thursday, January 21, 2021 from ALS. She was born December 1, 1960 in Winston Salem, NC, to Martha Hanes Bailey and Donald Wayne Bailey. She married Tony McNeill on April 6, 1991 and he survives.

Also surviving are her son and daughter by marriage, Lee and Natalia McNeill; her daughter Megan McNeill and Mark McGuire; one brother, Don Bailey and his wife Audrey of Holly Springs, NC and her special nieces and nephews, John Porter, Donald Noble, Jason Noble and Amanda Bailey.

Beth graduated from Smithfield Selma High School in 1979 and attended North Carolina State University and UNC at Chapel Hill. She graduated from UNC School of Education in 1983. She was a passionate and dedicated teacher, whose love for her profession and students was felt by every child in her care. 

She loved the sand, the surf and the sea. She loved her days with family at Oak Island. She loved Lee’s football games and Megan’s soccer games. She was their biggest cheerleader in every aspect of their life. She had the sweetest heart and most beautiful smile and exuded kindness in all she did and said.  She loved her constant companion, her Beagle, Colby. She loved her home and her family. She loved her parents and her precious mother-in-law, Linda. She loved her husband and her children. She loved the Lord.
