Ella H. Collins

Ella Helms Collins, 78, of Monroe, went to be with the Lord February 19, 2015. She was born in Anson County December 5, 1936, and graduated from Polkton High School. Following high school, she attended Wingate College. In 1960, she married the love of her life the late Daniel Curtis Collins. In addition to being a caring mother and loving wife, she maintained a career outside the home and retired in 1999, following over 19 years of service from the advertising department with Bell South. Ella was a devoted member of Crosspoint Worship Center and former member of Eastway Dr. Church of God. Her immediate family includes her children, Kimberly Hobbs and her husband, Rev. Theron Hobbs, Sr., and Stephen Collins and his wife, Kimberly; her sister, Atha Layton; and three grandchildren, Theron Hobbs, Jr., Tanner Hobbs, and Keira Collins.
