Emma Catherine Dunn Esau

In memory of Emma Catherine Dunn Esau, beloved mother and grandmother.

She was born March 19th, 1921 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Julia and Frank Dunn. Emma was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, Franklin W. Esau; her brothers Frank and Gerard Dunn; her sister, Muriel Staines; and her two sons, Leonard and Bruce Esau. 

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene McGuire and Diana Little; many grand, great, and great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She worked as a salesperson in retail and in cafeterias in the public school system. Her favorite work was in pre-school daycare, loving, teaching and caring for children. 

Emma will always be remembered for her love for God, family, friends, children and animals. 

In lieu of flowers a gift may be given in her memory to the North Shore Animal League America ( www.animallegue.org ) or to Edith Allen Wildlife Sanctuary ( www.edithallenwildlife.com ) in Canton, NC.
