Etta DeLois Pruitt

February 26, 1934 — November 10, 2015

Etta DeLois Passmore Pruitt, fondly known as Tootsie and/or Lou Lou, 81, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on November 10, 2015, at Royal Park Rehabilitation in Matthews, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her brothers Daniel Passmore and wife, Edith, and David Passmore and wife, Jewel. Tootsie was born February 26, 1934, in Portsmouth, Virginia to Samuel Passmore and Gladys Bass Passmore. She grew up in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and attended Lee College in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren, and was dearly loved in return. She will most certainly be missed. Tootsie had seven children and is survived by six, DeVena Pruitt Ramsuer, Gregory Pruitt, Sophia Pruitt, Darin Pruitt, Sheena Pruitt Scurlock, Roderick Pruitt; and the late Jerry Pruitt; nine grandchildren, Bradley Pruitt and wife, Brittany, Sean Scurlock, Blake Pruitt and wife, Diana, Stephanie Pruitt, Rorie Scurlock and husband, Steve Fogleman, Courtney Pruitt, Cali Huffstickler, Adam Pruitt, Jesse Pruitt.Two precede her in death, the late Gregory James Pruitt, II, and the late Brian Gregory Pruitt. Additional survivors include two great-grandchildren, Aiden Pruitt and Brian David Pruitt; her brother Robert Passmore and wife, Sylvia, along with numerous nieces and nephews. - -
