Barbara Jean Clark was born in Elkhorn, WV in 1938, a coalminer's daughter. After high school she left WV to travel the US with various singing groups. The Lord found her in Washington DC and when she heard the truth of the gospel, she gave her heart to him. She received her missionary license in 1969 and received her evangelistic license in 1970 to share the Good News to whoever would listen. She moved backed to Bluefield, WV with her children where she continued to grow in God's Word and minister as well as continuing her education at a local college. In 1987 she moved to Charlotte/Pineville, NC. In 1990 a new radio program was birthed on WordNet Radio called To God Be the Glory which has been on the air the last 25 years. She is survived by her daughters Benita Clark and Lisa Clark of Pineville, NC and has several "spiritual sons and daughters." She has been proceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Viola Clark of Bluefield, WV, sister, Margaretta Clark of Bluefield, WV, brother-in-law, Ronald Turner of Columbus, OH. She has three remaining siblings, Patricia Turner of Columbus, OH, Toni Palmer of Columbus, OH, and Thomas (Carolyn) Clark of Concord, NC and a host of nieces and nephews. To God Be the Glory - - - -
