Everette Coy Poff Jr., a beloved husband, father, and pa, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 7, 2024, which would have been his mother, Mrs. Irene's 103rd birthday. He was born on November 25, 1947, in Bluefield, WV, Coy lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories.
Coy had a true passion for coaching his son's baseball team. He poured his heart into nurturing young talent and creating unforgettable experiences both on and off the field and his dedication will always be remembered. His love of the sport inspired not only his son, but the entire team. Beyond the diamond anyone who was fortunate enough to taste his, famous, always requested, macaroni salad, was very fortunate indeed.
Coy was passionate, determined, considerate, devoted, hardworking, dependable, generous, selfless, kind, loyal, humble, and incredibly welcoming, but his love for his family was second to none. He looked forward to having his hair made up, tea parties in full regalia, to tuckered out snuggles. Coy had a remarkable sense of humor that could light up any room. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. Alongside his warm personality, he had a deep love for spending time at the beach with his family, creating lasting moments under the sun and by the sea. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.
Coy is survived by his love of 41 1/2 years Julie Poff, devoted son Brandon Poff, treasured daughter-in-law Ivette Poff, cherished grandson Hunter Butler, adored granddaughter Sydney Morgan, beloved grandson Bryson Poff, treasured granddaughter Valentina Poff, and darling granddaughter Isabella Poff. He is reunited in eternal peace with his father Everette Coy "Pat" Poff Sr., mother Helen Irene Martin Poff, and daughter Jessika Morgan.
In the hearts of those who loved him most, Coy's memory will forever be carried with love, respect, and gratitude for the impact he made during his time on earth. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, Coy, your spirit will live on in the hearts of your family and friends forevermore.
