Mrs. Faith Cochrane Peaseley died May 20, 2014. Born November 27, 1923 in Charlotte, she was the youngest child of Fred Ernest Cochrane and Claudia Sweet Babington Cochrane. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings: Margaret, Houston, and Bill. Her sister, Betty Boggs survives her. Faith graduated from Central High and married Charles Duncan Peaseley, Jr. on September 1, 1949. They were married 53 years, until Charles' passing in 2003. Faith enjoyed an active seven-decade long association at Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a Charter member, served in Sunday school, and as an Elder. In 1998 she received the Honorary Life Membership Pin from the Presbyterian Women. She was a member of the O.E.S. and former Worthy Matron. She retired from the Charlotte Mecklenburg school system in 1986. She is survived by her children and their wives: Claudia, Robert and Felicia, Caroline Carter, and Walter and Liz. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Robert, Joseph and wife Karen, Rebecca and husband Adam, Melissa, Benjamin, Faith, Ann, and Isabel; two great-grandchildren: Graham and Harrison. Son-in-law, Galen Carter, predeceases her. In lieu of flowers, donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church, PO Box 220654, Charlotte, NC 28222 and Barium Spring, Post Office Box 1, Barium Springs, NC 28010 are appreciated. -
