Frances King Brown, age 93, of Charlotte, NC died Wednesday, November 5th, 2014 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House - Huntersville of complications from cancer. She was born August 3, 1921 in Charlotte NC to the late Alma Pickard King and Clarence King, both of Charlotte. She was married to Capt. Glenn Howard Sheathelm of Flint, MI. who was killed in action during World War II, and subsequently to Harry Glenn Brown of Charlotte, NC. Frances graduated from Central High School in Charlotte and attended Queens College. During her life, she worked in the admitting office at Charlotte Memorial Hospital and later at the CBN Charlotte Regional Counseling Center. She deeply loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was regularly involved in ministry activities throughout the Charlotte area. She was an active member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Charlotte. Frances is survived by her daughter, Beverly Brown Lueke and son-in-law, Lawrence W. Lueke, both of Charlotte. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the many people who cared for her with such kindness and compassion during her illness, especially Dr. Erika Bono, Edith Boyd, Tiffany Deitz, Quiana Richie, Tiffany Youmans, the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care - Charlotte Region, and the staff of the Levine & Dickson Hospice Houses at Southminster and Huntersville.
