[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Frances Pauline Rushing Polk, 92, went to be with Lord on May 16, 2021. She was affectionally known as Granny. She was born January 21, 1929 in Monroe, North Carolina to Sanford and Velma Williams Rushing.
Pauline was known for many great things in life like her Southern Cooking, homemade biscuits and preserving food. She loved having a flower and vegetable garden, watching sports on T.V. Tiger Woods was one of her favorite sports figures. Pauline was also a great bowler. As a young girl she played basketball for Unionville High School and she earned an “Outstanding Athlete Award” for scoring almost 90 points in one game.
Pauline worked as a nurses aid and was a private duty caregiver. She also worked at McCoy Ellison. Her family best remembers her as a homemaker who could do anything around the house. She was a loving kind and friend to everyone she met, always helping others in the times of need.
Pauline was a member of Shiloh Advent Christian Church. She was a part of Women’s Home & Foreign Missions Society.

Pauline is proceeded in death by her husband David Polk, son Steve Polk, grandchild Jeremy and her brother Kenneth Rushing. She is survived by her children, John Polk, Cathy Cherry (Harold) and Randy Polk (Vickie). Grandchildren Kevin, Missy, Donna, Mark, Brian, Travis, Nikki, Amanda, Hank, and Brandon. 14 Great Grandchildren and her sisters Colene Hinson and Mavis Smith.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
