Francis Xavier Timothy Anthony Stewart, 53, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Stewart; sister, Dinah; brother, Lafayette; and granddaughter, Ketaboo. "Frank" was born in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, March 6, 1958, and later moved to Philadelphia. He attended the public school system there, where he received his GED in 1975, and later attended the Delaware Valley Trade School. Frank, also known as "Timmy", was a people-person and to have known him was to love him... "He would give you the shirt off his back". A working man, Frank had a passion for construction work. He was known as a jokester and loved animals (especially his dog, Thunder). Frank truly loved his grandchildren and knowing how important it was to have higher education, he made every attempt to instill that to his family. Later in life, Frank married his childhood sweetheart, Karen Powell Stewart, and they moved to North Carolina to begin a new life together. Frank's immediate family includes his wife, Karen; four children, Stacy, Lakeisha, Melissa, and Damien; four step-children; five sisters; three brothers; a host of grandchildren; nieces; nephews; a special friend, Spencer Kirven; and many extended family members and friends. A Song of David ( in tribute to the Stewart family ) The Lord is my Shepherd: I shall not want. He maketh me to Lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me. beside the still waters, He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake, yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23 - -
