On Monday August 9, 2010 Georgia Hill of Mint Hill N.C. went home to be with her Lord and to be reunited with her late husband Kenneth. Georgia is survived by her son Reggie Hill and his wife, Leigh; her grandchildren Rebekah, Kent, Samuel and Jonah; her beloved sister Mary Brown of Charlotte; and her aunt and uncle, Lee and Rudy Cribb, also of Charlotte. In the past year Georgia had moved to the Charleston S.C. area to live with her son and his family. Getting to live with her grandchildren was the joy of her life. She also continued to spend much time in Charlotte with her sister Mary and niece Beverly Stevens. Georgia and Mary were very close the way sisters should be and enjoyed their recent years together since the passing of Georgia's husband Kenneth. Georgia also has a host of other nieces and nephews, too many to mention. In her years as a young woman, before her son came along, she devoted herself to helping mother many of her nieces and nephews whenever there was a need. To them she was "Aunt Georgia" and like a second mother. She also operated an in-home daycare for more than 30 years where she loved and helped raise many children from the Mint Hill area. She loved and cared for them just as her own, she shared her Godly character with many who are now adults with families of their own. All the children in her daycare knew her as "Moma G". Very few women have ever touched so many young lives as she did. She was truly a "Mother of Multitudes" and I was proud to call her mine. A privileged son
