Geraldine Rozelle Cash

Mrs. Geraldine (Gerry) Cash, 92, of Matthews, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Lake Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Indian Trail. Gerry was born in Rutherford County, NC, the sixth of nine children born to the late Edmund Geer and Corrie Nanney Geer. Gerry moved to Charlotte during World War II and worked at various jobs. She met and married her husband Homer in 1952. Her immediate family includes her husband of 60 years, Homer; daughter, Jocelyn, both of Matthews; her son, Mark; grandsons, Benjamin and Daniel, all of Oakboro; as well as a wealth of nieces and nephews, still residing in Rutherfordton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church Matthews.
