Gery Daniel Dorazio born June 27, 1957 in Derry, Pennsylvania, passed away February 27, 2011 in Charlotte, NC. He is preceded in death by his father, the late Joseph Dorazio. Gery's immediate family includes by his wife, Patricia Dorazio and son, Daniel Dorazio; his mother, Eleanor Dorazio; his siblings, David Dorazio, Mark Dorazio, Dennis Dorazio, Joe Dorazio, Diana Sabatine, Christina Ogletree, Angie Shephard, Julianne Remoli, Bernadette Ford; and many nieces and nephews. Gery was known by family and friends as a person who loved to ask questions and caused those around him to think closely about the answer they were going to give back. He was inquisitive and creative with his business and endeavors that he pursued. After completing his undergraduate studies at Penn State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he sought higher education by obtaining a Masters in Business Administration at Queens University, and a Masters in Physics at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Gery was a devoted husband who always pushed Pat to be the person she wanted to be. He loved her just the way she was. He was encouraging and nurturing to the needs of Pat. He enjoyed new adventures such as hiking, with his wife and son, and ballroom dancing. Gery enjoyed taking Daniel to shoot his bow and arrow and roller skating. He was supportive of whatever Daniel wished to try and encouraged creativity. Gery was a father who was fully engaged in the life of Daniel Cole, his son. He was a role model as well as a strong and loving dad to Cole. Gery enjoyed learning alongside Cole with his many projects and adventures as a Boy Scout. Gery was a loving son to his parents and always enjoyed his mom's delicious cooking. . . always! He was a true brother to all of his siblings, always offering himself for advice, or for hands-on projects. He made himself available at any time for anyone.
