Glenn Crouch, 90, of Charlotte, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, early Saturday morning, June 5, 2010, while in the loving care of the staff at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Lona Gant Crouch. Glenn was born in Alexander County, North Carolina, the son of the late Hobson and Bertha Ann Morrison Crouch. After attending school there, he entered the U.S. Army at the beginning of World War II. He served overseas during that time in India, China, and Burma, where he helped build the Burma Road. Following the war, he entered the construction field and helped build what is now known as Lowes Motor Speedway. At 73, Glenn decided to learn square dancing and was a member of Square Wheels Dance Club. He loved to travel with his wife, Lenora, and have been many places between Key West, FL and New York. Glenn was also an avid gardener. He was a proud member of Central Church of God in Charlotte where he was a member of Primetimers with Lenora, and also attended and enjoyed the fellowship at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church. Glenn's immediate family includes his wife, Lenora Crouch; his daughter, Ann Kepley, both of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Randy Scott Kepley and his wife, Theresa, and their son, Austin, all of Charlotte, and Kristy Nkanza and her husband, Charles, and their two daughters, Ava and Emma, all of Baltimore, MD.
