Harold Parks Workman, 83, of Denver North Carolina went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2021. Hal was born to Parks and Margaret Workman on August 25, 1938 in Gastonia North Carolina. He is survived by his wife Judith Weaver James Workman, a daughter Danyelle Smith (Jeff), three sons; Darin Workman (Gina), Taylor James (Tonya) and Darrell James (Bonnie). 13 grandchildren, Jared Smith, Noah Smith, Christian Workman, Chelsea Workman, Matthew Workman, Lauren Workman Barbour, DJ Workman, Nathaniel James, Savannah Prince, Jessica James, Alexis James, Katherine Caporale, Victoria Wampler. 4 Great Grandchildren, Henry Barbour, Aiden Workman, Axel Hess and Oren Parsons.
Hal graduated from Ashley High School in Gastonia. He went to The University Of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a 4 year baseball scholarship. After graduation Hal joined the United States Navy, he made LTJG and was honorably discharged.
Hal had a successful career in telecommunications, trading stocks and then eventually he retired from Southern Bell. He was a proud member of Central Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
A graveside service will be held at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia, honoring the life that Harold Parks Workman lived on Thursday 11, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
