Helen Hall Holt

Helen Hall Holt, 93, of Indian Trail, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016. Helen was born July 26, 1923, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Harold Hemphill Hall and Annie Wallace Hall. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Dobbin H. (Bob) Holt. Helen graduated from, and was named valedictorian of the Charlotte Technical High School Class of 1941. Following graduation, she was employed by the Veteran's Administration. In 1947, she married Bob Holt and they raised two daughters, Patty and Susan in the Charlotte area. Helen was quick witted and had a dry sense of humor. Her frugal nature was noted by many. That attribute created an admiration by those who knew the extreme circumstances of her upbringing. She was a proud member of Mill Grove United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made in Helen's name to her church, Mill Grove United Methodist Church, 7311 Mill Grove Rd. Indian Trail, NC 28079. -
