James Ira Henneman of Charlotte, NC, passed away Thursday evening, August 24, 2023 at 87 years of age.
James was born on February 6th, 1936 in Indiana, PA, the baby to a family of 7 brothers and 6 sisters. After James graduated from Rayen High School in 1954, he went on to serve in the Army. After serving in Kitzingen, Germany, he started at Wean United as a machinist kickstarting a 37-year career as a supervisor. James later went on to work for multiple other companies, but was most proud to do the Lord’s work.
In 1955, James met his wife and lifelong partner Eleanor (McReynolds) Henneman. James and Eleanor went on to have three children, James Robert, Richard Duane and Timothy Bryon. James spent his time singing his favorite bluegrass songs, appreciating cars, and spending time making memories with the family and friends he had grown over the years.
James was preceded in death by his mother and father, Herbert and Carrie Henneman as well as his son, Timothy Henneman. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor, sons James (Jennifer) and Richard (Julie), grandchildren Jamielee, Richard, Miranda, Ty, Tyler, Jessie, Aubriana, Joshua, Robey, and great-grandchildren Raelynn, Miles, and Easton.
Services will be held at United Wesleyan Church where he spent decades alongside his wife on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 7:00pm.
