Jerry Clayton Wayman departed this life on Easter Sunday after a long battle with heart and lung issues. He was born in Goltry, OK Sept. 8th 1939, the youngest of 9 children Jerry graduated from Southwestern State University of Oklahoma and then worked in the aircraft business for many years before retiring from American Airlines at the early age of 57. He influenced both his son Clayton and son in law Gary to get in to the aircraft industry. Jerry was a hard working man. In addition to his "day" job, he built and sold many houses. He was "flipping" houses long before the term became popular. In his retirement, he became a successful gold miner, working in both Arizona and Colorado. He also loved fishing and spending time on Grand Lake in OK. A few years ago, Jerry moved to Indian Trail, NC to be near his daughter Lexie. During his time in NC, he made several true friends in neighbors Mike, Marty, Molly, Monica Jerry is survived by his son Clayton Wayman and his partner Stacy Windhorst of Wichita, KS, his daughter Lexie Huckaby and her husband Gary of Indian Trail, NC and his daughter Beky Mooneyham and her husband Brian of Owasso, OK, Six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jerry was a special man and will be missed and cherished in thought by his family and many friends. - -
