Jerry Lamar White

Jerry Lamar White, of Matthews, passed away March 26, 2018. He was born March 17, 1958, in Charlotte and graduated from Independence High School in 1977. He worked in auto repair for over 40 years and owned Kirk Brown and Sons in the Cotswold and Oakhurst communities which he was very successful. Mr. White enjoyed coaching his sons in the multiple sports they played, and loved all the other parents and kids he coached. Mr. White is preceded in death by parents, Roscoe White, Jr., and Judith White. He is survived by wife Jane Guffey White; siblings Russell P. White (Martha) and Bill P. White (Wendy); sons Joseph P. White (Meghan), John P. White, and James P. White; and grandchildren, Mallory J. White and Jonah P. White. Visitation of family and friends will be April 7, 2018, at Freedom Biker Church beginning at 1:00PM with a Memorial Service following at 2:00PM.
