James Alfred Grumblatt, 69 of Charlotte, went to be with his Lord and Savior, February 13, 2013. He was born August 9, 1943 in Erie, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Dolores Spath Grumblatt and Alfred G. Grumblatt. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Raylene Grumblatt. Jim attended Fort LeBoeuf High School in the Erie Pennsylvania area. He worked for 27 years at Eriez Magnetics. Later, Jim owned his own car dealership. In 2005 he moved to Charlotte where he began working for the Billy Graham Ministries in TV and Events. He helped put together the Billy Graham Archives. A member of Central Church of God, he volunteered in the kitchen with his wife, Susan, the Men of Acts Group, became a leader for the Band of Brothers, and loved attending the Friday morning Men's Bible Study. But, most of all, Jim loved serving the Lord as a Chaplain with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team. He was a first responder to twenty-three disaster missions during his time with his beloved group. Left to mourn his lose are his wife Susan Dixon Grumblatt; sister Judy Snyder and husband Bernard; daughters Melissa East and husband Pat of Pennsylvania, Heidi Belczyk and husband Jack of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Justin, Ryan, and Katie; nieces ,nephews and many treasured friends in Charlotte and Pennsylvania. *In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201.
