Jim Welch

Jimmie Wilson "Jim" Welch, 92, of Charlotte, passed away September 29, 2016, in Huntersville. He was born on August 10, 1924, and was the son of Wade and Addie Welch. Jim was a member of the U. S. Army Air Corps and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After the war, he worked at P. C. Godfrey 's before going to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Mechanical Inspection Department, serving as Chief until his retirement. Mr. Welch is survived by his wife Odessa; two daughters Pam Vincent and Deborah Welch; and his granddaughter Kelly Melazzo. -
