Ki Ok Sung

Ki Ok Sung, born on July 10, 1938, in Korea, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, in North Carolina. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassionate spirit.

Ki Ok was known for her unwavering dedication to helping those around her. Her personality shone in everything she did, as she consistently extended her hand to assist others, embodying a genuine love for people and animals alike. Her generous heart and nurturing nature made her a beloved figure among family and friends.

She is survived by her cherished family, including her husband, Yeol Choong Sung; her son, Kyu Young, and daughter-in-law, Jungin; her daughter, Chiyon, and son-in-law, Jeff Kim; as well as her beloved grandson, Andrew. Ki Ok took immense pride in her children and grandson, seeing them as her proudest accomplishments, and she nurtured each of them with love and guidance throughout their lives.

The warmth and love Ki Ok shared will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate her life at Stephenson & Gaskin Funeral Services located at 14617 Lawyers Rd #B, Matthews, NC 28104. A visitation will be held on September 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
