Lois Dellinger Taylor

A service to celebrate the life of Lois Dellinger Taylor will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at First Assembly Of God, 2500 Arnold Dr., Monroe, NC 28110

Lois Dellinger Taylor passed away on June 26, 2021 in Monroe, North Carolina and was born in Cherryville, North Carolina on May 19, 1937. She was 84 years old.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Charles Taylor; two daughters, Terry Lynn Bowling and husband, Randy and Ellen Price Porter and husband, Tony; one son, Johnny C. Price and wife, Theresa; and one stepson, Kenneth W Taylor.

She had 8 grandchildren, Tiffany Pressley, Nichole Mills, Seth Williams, Summer Hogan, Justin Porter, Melissa Hudson, Amanda Furr and Caleb Fire. She also had 14 great grand children (one little boy on the way).

Lois is also survived by three brothers, Paul Dellinger of Stanley, Laney Ballard of Lincolnton and Dennis Dellinger of Lincolnton.

Lois dedicated her life to the Lord.  Her path was straight and narrow. She played the piano for The First Baptist Church Of Indian Trail for many years.  In addition, she played for the Rhythmets and The Holmes Trio. Lois spent her whole life singing and playing gospel music.

She was an active member of First Assembly Church Of God in Monroe. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing classical piano and teaching piano lessons. She graduated from Queens College and majored in business. Lois also became a dental assistant and retired from the State of North Carolina in 1999

Those who had the privilege of knowing her could feel her soft and gentle spirit. A gifted prayer warrior that walked the walk of loving Jesus our Lord and Savior.

A mother that was loved by so many, she was a champion of hardships, a guiding light in the mist of storms and an Angel that sang from Heaven above.

Through her illness the past six months, her children and their spouses have not left her side.  She fought the good fight, full of faith, never complaining and maintained her beautiful smile. In spite of all the obstacles, she continued to play the piano with grace and Love for our Lord.

May God surround the family and show love and peace through the coming days.
