Louise Hartsell Benton
June 27, 1935 — January 11, 2019
Louise Hartsell Benton, age 83 of Mint Hill, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 11, 2019. She will be remember as a precious lady of unwavering faith. Louise was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her children, Gail Patterson, Teresa and Jeff Warlick, Yates and Brenda Benton, her grandchildren, Rodney Stone, Kristina Butcher, Scott Patterson, Ashley Warlick, Marty Benton, Chad Benton and TJ Benton, her great-grandchildren, Isaac, Denver, Gavin, Ashlyn, Champ, Amelia, Trevor, Hali and Ava, her great-great grandchildren, Sadie and Levi, her sisters, Rachel Spangler, Ann Plexico, Faye Hartsell, Kay Buchanan and brother Ricky Hartsell along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years Yates Douglas Benton, parents, Rufus and Margaret Hartsell, sisters, Grace Hartsell, infant sister, Sue Moore, brothers, Clinton, Vance, Clarence and Bobby Hartsell, and son in law, Eric Patterson.
Louise and Doug enjoyed traveling with their family, camping and boating. She especially loved to waterski. She spent many years working as a beautician at Brenda's Beauty Salon in Mint Hill. She loved children and also worked as an after-school and summer camp teacher for Hartis Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be at 2:30 on Monday, January 14, 2019 in the historic chapel at Mill Grove United Methodist Church and conducted by Pastor Earl Bradshaw. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be directly after the funeral at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Lawyers Road. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Harris Hospice Center.
