On July 13, 1937 in Hampden Co. Massachusetts, Eliease and Dorris Marcotte became proud parents of what was then Jean Frances Marcotte, on September 23, 1935 Luther and Pearl Williams became proud parents of Luther Reece Williams Jr.
Eliease and Dorris Decided to leave Massachusetts and move to Florida, but the Florida heat was too hot for them, so they decided once again to pack up and then moved to Charlotte North Carolina for a new start.
Meanwhile in Mint Hill, North Carolina Luther was busy helping out with chores on his parents farm, even with his brothers and sisters help there was always a lot of work to get done. In his free time he enjoyed to fish, play baseball and on hot summer days he would swim in the water hole with his brothers that was close to their home.
Years past Luther and Jean not knowing that God would allow their paths to cross. It was on a blind date that Luther and Jean would finally meet, according to Luther, he fell madly in love with Jean and knew that she was the one for him. After several dates and some time passed, they were married on January 1st 1956. On April 19th 1958 Luther and Jean became proud parents of their firstborn son David. A few years later they had their second son Mark, and then their third son Daniel Jason , aka DJ.
Luther and Jean always centered their families values around Christ, they boys found them selves always involved in church twice on Sundays and on Wednesday night prayer meetings. The boys always said how grateful they were to have been raised in a Christian Home with two God Fearing parents to look up too.
On March 31st 2022, around 6:45 The Lord called Jean home to heaven. This took a toll on the entire family, especially Luther They were married for 66 years, and he stated that he missed her every minute of every day. As the good father that he was, he always set his emotions aside to take care of the boys but mostly Daniel, who lived with him at the time.
On February 22nd 2024, around 9:12 PM The Lord called Luther home. Mark said that it must have been the reunions of all reunions when his parents were able to meet again in Heaven. They boys are so thankful for everything that the wonderful parents have done for them over the years, and wanted to express that this is not goodbye, it is we will see you soon. You will be greatly missed !
A prayer from Daniel nightly "God please take care of our mom and dad, I miss them so much."
