Lyda Lorene Davis

Lyda Lorene Falls Davis, of Charlotte, surrounded by her loving family, was welcomed home peacefully by our Lord and Savior February 26, 2011. Leaving behind a legacy of love among her family and friends, she is survived by one sister, Daisy Marie Reese; two daughters, Terry D. Williams and Lynne Waggoner; five grandchildren, Zack Briers, Jennifer Guthrie, Greg Briers, Alexander Waggoner and Nicholas Waggoner; eleven great-grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Donald Franklin Davis. Born in Lamar, Missouri in 1917, she lived in Charlotte for nearly 60 years spending the majority of her career as a teacher with over 30 years of service with CMS. She retired from Selwyn Elementary School in 1996.
