Margaret Moore Gardner

Margaret Moore Gardner - January 12th, 1947 - June 3rd 2021 Margaret made her transition to Glory peacefully from her bed in the early morning hours of June 3rd, 2021. She was 74 years old. Due to health complications she was residing at the Peak Resources Living Center in Gastonia NC. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Elmer & Annie Mae Moore and sister Linda Benfield. Her surviving family members include her beloved husband, Billy C Gardner; sister, Nancy Moore; son, Randy Helms and wife, Amanda; daughters, Kristina Acker, Marla Hinson and husband, Jamie along with 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Margaret was born and raised in Charlotte where she graduated from Meyers Park High School. After high school, Margaret worked as an accountant for Eckerd drug stores, from where she retired. After retirement, she and her husband owned and operated the Oakhill Mini Mart, in the Oakdale community, for another 15 years. She loved people and also loved making cakes and pies to sell in the store deli. Most of all, Margaret loved the Lord with all her heart and loved her family the same. She set an unmatched example of how one should help those in need. Margaret would gladly go without to see that anyone in need was cared for. In her later years, she spent much of her time taking care of grandchildren and helping at her church, Fellowship Church in Dallas NC, in the food ministry. She will be greatly missed by her family who loved and adored her to no end. The family would like to thank all the care givers at Senior TLC, Peak Resources and the White Oak Manner. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm, June 12th, 2021 at Crossroads Community Church, 1807 Lawing Rd., Charlotte, NC 28216. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Crossroads Community Church. Donations may be made at the celebration or on line at nccrossroads.org.
