Marsha L. Odom

March 24, 1972 — July 17, 2013

A limb has fallen from the family tree, I keep hearing a voice that says "Grieve not for me." Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, The good life lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage; I'm counting on you, Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest, Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small, Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin, Until the day comes we're together again Marsha Lynn Odom, 41, born and raised in Charlotte, NC, passed peacefully, surrounded by family and friends Wednesday evening, July 17, 2013. Her loving family members include her parents Donnie and Virginia Odom, Step-Mother Dale Odom, lifelong soul mate Adrian Bryant, their son, Austin Chase Bryant, sister Jennifer Odom Houlbrook and brother in law Todd Houlbrook, brother Lee Odom, nephew Todd Houlbrook Jr., niece Kristina Lynn Houlbrook, and nephew Kingston Odom . Marsha loved her family and friends fiercely and unconditionally. She loved to be beautiful, and had a style all her own, she loved to sing and dance as if no one was watching. She was always the life of the party, the first one to celebrate just because. Never a day went by without a smile, a laugh, a spunky comment or encouraging word for a friend or family member in need, she was genuine to the core of her being. She was never afraid to tell it like it was, her personality was bubbly, free and confident. Red was her favorite color, symbolizing love, passion, and strength, signifying the joy of life and of love. She was also a member of VFW Post 1160, Ladies Auxiliary. Her favorite quotes were: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." "Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you have lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones." Thank you to each of Marsha's family and friends who have loved and supported her during her lifetime, she will be missed beyond measure and remembered in our hearts for all eternity. Revelation 7:17 - For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. -
