Martha House Lawing

Martha House Lawing, 88, of Charlotte, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, April 21, 2016. She was born in Charlotte to the late Carver and Vashti House. After graduating from Charlotte Tech High in 1945, she was a secretary at Cochrane Junior High for 28 years. Martha attended Belmont Park Methodist Church, Garr Memorial Church and presently Central Church. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a quiet and gentle spirit and always put the needs of others before her own. Martha is survived by her husband, Reidy Lawing, son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Sharon Lawing, daughter and son-in-law Jamie and Ted Clark and her dear grandchildren Justin, Jason,(wife-Desiree) and Bryan Lawing, and Jordan, Carlyn and Camden Clark, as well as her sister, Shirley Lewis. She was preceded in death by her brother William"Lefty" House. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Serenity House. Please refer to column left of obituary and select "Place A Donation". - -
