Mrs. Mary Ann Morton Mabry, 67, a resident of Davidson passed away Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012 at the Levine Dickson Hospice Center of Huntersville after a courageous battle against breast cancer. She was the loving wife of Dr. Earl Winters "Wynn" Mabry and daughter of the late Paul and Muriel Morton of Guilford, Maine. Born in Guilford on February 12, 1945, she was a graduate of Piscataquis Community High School, Class of 1963 and Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire Class of 1966. Mary Ann was a devoted Air Force wife and mom of thirty years and lived around the country and abroad before settling ten years ago in Davidson, NC. She will be most remembered for her devotion to her family and friends, her gift of compassion and caring and her ability to spread joy and laughter. Mary Ann was a member of the Davidson College Presbyterian Church where she was a founding and active member of the Cancer Wellness Group. Her immediate family includes her beloved husband, Wynn, of forty-five years; daughter Elizabeth Mabry Phillips (Dan) of Marietta, GA; daughter Juliana Mabry Jones (Bobby) of Charlotte; son Maj Clark Mabry (Angel), USAF stationed in Florida; daughter Madelynn Mabry Hill (Daniel) of Charlotte; seven loving grandchildren and extended family.
