Matthew Scott Langley

INDIAN TRAIL, NC - Mr. Matthew Scott Langley, 53, died unexpectedly on February 6, 2023, at his home.

He was born on October 4, 1969, in Knoxville, TN, the only child of Rufus Benjamin Langley and Linda Barnes Henderson.

Matt grew up in Hoover, Alabama and received his Associate in Occupational Studies Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC. He also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Marketing from Johnson and Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. Later, for many years, Matt worked in the field of information technology and was a Senior Applications Analyst, at the time of his death. Matt and his wife, Debby were married on December 19, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alexandra Morgan Langley.

In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by his wife, Debora Ann Martin Langley; sons, Carlton Taylor Langley and wife, Lyric and William Reid Langley.

Memorial services for Matt will be private.
